Anand Sharma

Anand offers more than 30 years of expertise with lean manufacturing and worked directly with Dr. Ryuji Fukuda to bring the Policy Deployment process from Japan to the United States. He has held executive level positions with Productivity, Inc. and American Standard, Inc. Anand is author of "The Perfect Engine: How to Win in the New Demand Economy by Building to Order with Fewer Resources" (Free Press, 2001), and co-author of, "The Antidote: How to Transform Your Business for the Extreme Challenges of the 21st Century" (Managing Times Press, 2006).

Anand was named a Hero of U.S. Manufacturing in 2001 by Fortune magazine, was awarded the 2002 Donald Burnham Manufacturing Management Award by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and is a member of the Shingo Prize Academy. A frequent speaker at the AME Annual Conference, his expertise is regularly sought by the national media. He is a co-founder of TBM Consulting Group and served as President and CEO since the company’s inception in 1991. Anand is considered a preeminent Policy Deployment expert and helps lead the Policy Deployment process with many TBM clients. He recognized the power of technology to facilitate the process and made the decision to expand the TBM service offering to introduce a web-based approach via the introduction of the Dploy Solutions suite of products. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Boston University and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Roorkree University in India.

 

Bob Dean
Managing Director

Bob is a nationally recognized lean consultant and has worked directly with many leading manufacturing and service companies including Allied Signal, Ames True Temper, and Pella Corporation. He maintains close ties with the legendary Toyota Production System team as well as the Taichii Ohno team. Bob co-founded TBM Consulting Group and has been instrumental in bringing lean business techniques and Six Sigma from the manufacturing sector into multiple service industries. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Clarkson University.

 

 

 

 

Mike Heath
Senior Management Consultant / Dploy Solutions Co-founder

Mike has more than 20 years experience developing innovative software for lean implementation, including 11 years with the Square D Company, and 14 years with the Danaher Corporation, where he was President of the Danaher Tool Group Asia and Executive Vice President of the Danaher Tool Group. Mike worked extensively in Japan with companies implementing the Toyota Production System. He left Danaher to found Catalyst Business Systems, a consulting firm focused on rapidly driving performance improvements within public and private equity companies, where he partnered with Sheri Nemeth to create Dploy Solutions, a web-based software solution for streamlining the Policy Deployment process. TBM Consulting Group acquired Catalyst Business Systems in 2008.

 

Sheri Nemeth
Senior Management Consultant / Dploy Solutions Co-founder

Sheri was formerly a Corporate Director for the Danaher Business System, where she focused on rapidly integrating new acquisitions and improving ROI. She has also led operational teams at GE Controls, Medical Systems and Motors, applying both lean and Six Sigma principles to improve delivery, reduce lead times, and increase inventory turns. In 2001, Sheri founded Catalyst Business Systems with Mike Heath.

Today, both Sheri and Mike work with senior executives to assess business improvement needs, formulate and implement effective action plans, improve profitability, create cash flow, grow revenue, and integrate acquisitions. Dploy Solutions software is a consistent and key element of TBM clients’ success. Sheri holds a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, and a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University. Her credentials include Six Sigma Master Black Belt training through GE and Air Academy; and lean training in Japan with Shingijutsu, founders of the Toyota Production System.

 

Kathy Million
Director, Client Implementation

Kathy sets the standard for customer service and operational excellence. She joined TBM Consulting Group just after the company was founded in 1992 and directly leads clients to success with Policy Deployment implementation, data load, on-boarding, and training. Prior to joining TBM, she worked in public relations at Ford Aerospace and in customer service and government relations at the American Apparel Manufacturers’ Association (AAMA). Her extensive experience working with senior executives started early in her career where she served as liaison to the board of directors at the AAMA. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Lenoir-Rhyne College in North Carolina.
